We didn't plan this. The economy did.
Somewhere between a salary that barely covers rent and a lifestyle that costs twice that, we had a thought:
If we're all broke anyway — we might as well look good about it.
The Recession Collective started as a joke. A frustrated T-shirt. A caption that someone screenshot and shared. And then another person said "where can I buy this?" — and here we are.
We're not a factory. We're not a warehouse. We're a small team based in India making T-shirts for people who are tired of pretending everything is fine. If you've ever typed "how to afford life" into Google at 2am — this brand is for you.
What we make
Oversized T-shirts with something to say.
Not the kind of "inspirational quote on pastel background" things you see everywhere. We make the other kind — the honest kind. The kind where someone reads your shirt and goes "bhai, same."
Every design starts the same way: with a real feeling, a real frustration, or a real joke that too many people are thinking and not enough people are saying out loud.
How it works (and why you should trust us)
We work with India's most reliable print-and-ship partners. Every order is printed fresh — your T-shirt isn't sitting in a dusty warehouse. It's made when you order it.
This means:
- Every print is fresh and clean
- No leftover stock, no "last piece" that's been sitting for months
- Your design is printed properly, not rushed
We ship across India. We offer COD. We have a real return policy. And if something goes wrong, there's a real person on WhatsApp who will actually respond — not a bot that sends you a link to a FAQ page.
A note on why we do COD
We know most Indian buyers want Cash on Delivery. So we have it.
Yes, it costs us more operationally. Yes, our RTO rate hurts sometimes. But we'd rather eat that cost than make you pay before you trust us. When you've ordered from 3 Instagram stores that never delivered — we understand why you want to see the product before paying.
That said — if you prepay via UPI or card, we love you. Orders are dispatched faster, and we'll throw in a small thank-you if we can.
We're based in India. We ship from India.
No 45-day international shipping. No customs duty surprises. No "your order is stuck in Dubai" situations.
Everything ships from within India. Most orders reach you in 5–8 business days. We'll keep you updated via SMS/WhatsApp.
